Cultivation: Minimum height 150m. s.l.m. at 450m. s.l.m., volcanic soils with a very rich presence of mineral salts.
Harvest: Beginning of the harvest between the last ten days of September to the first ten days of October.
Vinification: Fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Color: Intense ruby red.
Aroma: Pleasant, smells of cherries and plums while retaining the fruity aroma.
Taste: Dry, harmonious.
Grapes: Piedirosso minimum 50%, sciascinoso maximum 30% and Aglianico maximum 20%.
Alcoholic content: minimum 12%.
Production: Maximum of 100 quintals per hectare, mandatory for vinification not exceeding 65%.
Tasting: The “Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio rosso” should be served at a temperature of 16/18 ° and in large and important goblets that prefer combinations with savory dishes such as pasta, meat sauces.
