Eucalyptus Honey ApiMassicelle
Massicelle Bees Eucalyptus Honey is an artisanal product of the Cilento National Park.
Obtained from eucalyptus flowers, a very common plant in the Mediterranean, especially on the Tyrrhenian side.
Eucalyptus honey has a color that is on shades of beige when it is crystallized and amber when it is liquid while its flavor is persistent and balsamic and not particularly sweet.
Precisely for this reason it is often used in the kitchen, in combination with aged and fresh cheeses, but also with fish and vegetable based main courses.
We also recommend tasting it together with Greek or low-fat yogurt
Finally, it is recommended to consume it dissolved in herbal teas and teas with a strong taste, especially those based on ginger and cinnamon. This combination is particularly suitable in the coldest months of the year, to counteract common colds.
Eucalyptus honey is rich in antioxidants, especially flavonoids, extremely useful for preventing inflammatory and degenerative phenomena and for fighting free radicals, as well as numerous antibacterial and antiseptic properties, especially if dissolved in tea and herbal teas.
However, it is important that you use raw eucalyptus honey and not subjected to industrial processing that could cancel its beneficial action.
Honey, by nature, solidifies spontaneously, especially in colder climates. We recommend melting it for a few minutes in a bain-marie.
