Honey of Erica ApiMassicelle
ApiMassicelle heather honey is an artisanal product of the Cilento National Park.
It is produced from the flowering of Erica, an evergreen plant present in the Mediterranean scrub that blooms in the period from March to May.
Heather honey has an amber red color when liquid, and brown-orange when crystallized with a persistent flavor in the mouth thanks to a caramelized aroma and a velvety sweetness.
It is perfect to be consumed on cheeses with an intense flavor such as pecorino, or on yogurt and in salads.
It is a precious ally for health, thanks to its beneficial properties favoring an antirheumatic, antianemic and restorative action.
Honey, by nature, solidifies spontaneously, especially in colder climates. We recommend melting it for a few minutes in a bain-marie.
